Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun famously known by his stage name WIZKID rose to prominence with the release of his first song “Holla at your Boy‘ under Empire Mates Entertainment [EME] in 2010.

Before then, Wizkid was no novice in the Nigerian music scene having dropped a collaborative album with Glorious Five entitled Lil Prinz as far back as 2001 aged 11. You can continue the rest on his wikipedia page. The first time i saw Wizkid was in Banky W‘s Lagos Party video in January 2010 and i thought to myself ‘See that boy’s pink Lips’. The video to his hit debut was the bomb with a superstar cast that has his Record Label Boss Banky W as is father and Chocolate’s City Ice Prince as his brother.

Since then you gotta give it to this Nigga. Its 2016 now and my Surulere brother, Starboy Wizzy has established himself as an African Music legend making hits that has crossed continental borders featuring multiple international artistes including Tinie Tempah, Drake, Trey Songz, Tyga, Chris Brown amd French Montana.
