OUR CHAIRMAN NOT SACKED, HIS TENURE EXPIRED – NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) denied claims that President Muhammadu Buhari had dismissed its chairman, retired Col. Muhammad Abdallah.

NDLEA spokesman Jonah Achema said this while speaking to the Nigerian News Agency in Abuja on Tuesday.

However, Achema, Deputy Commander of Narcotics, said that Abdallah’s term, appointed on January 12, 2016, expired on January 11, 2016.

“As claimed by some media outlets, the chairman was not sacked. His five-year term, however, elapsed on January 11,” he said.
