Ilebaye’s Father Breaks Silence On Alleged Assault

Reality TV star Ilebaye’s father, Emmanuel Odiniya, has publicly addressed the viral domestic violence allegations involving his daughter, Recall he was arrested after the assault on his famous daughter.

In a voice note shared online, Odiniya gave his own account of the incident, claiming he played a major role in Ilebaye’s success during her time on Big Brother Naija and accused her of becoming distant from him after winning the show

According to him, he used his influence and resources to rally massive support for her during the competition, particularly in Kogi State, insisting that several prominent individuals contributed financially to keep her in the house.

“When she told me she wanted to go for BBN, I supported her. In fact, I had people to vote for her massively and my contribution to her success there is over 75%,” he said.

He further alleged that after winning the reality show, Ilebaye stopped listening to him and frequently ignored his advice concerning her lifestyle, spending habits, and circle of friends.

Odiniya also criticised her for allegedly undergoing cosmetic procedures at a young age and accused her of recklessly spending money instead of supporting charitable causes.

Speaking about the alleged physical confrontation, he claimed he was attempting to correct her when things escalated.

“She started insulting me. When I said, ‘Am I the one you are insulting as if I am not a father?’ she responded with, ‘Who am I? Am I a father?’”

He alleged that Ilebaye then attacked him with an AC hanger and a lantern, leaving him injured.

The father also made several personal allegations involving family disputes and his estranged marriage.
