The England international scored in the second half to give Mauricio Pochettino’s men victory in a dominant display, but was stretchered off after sustaining a late injury
Harry Kane’s second-half strike gave Tottenham a 1-0 victory over Sunderland at White Hart Lane on Sunday.Mauricio Pochettino’s men were utterly dominant against the Black Cats throughout the 90 minutes but repeatedly struggled to beat the impressive Jordan Pickford.
England international Kane, however, ensured that Spurs took all three points, stabbing home after Dele Alli knocked on Kyle Walker’s cross.
The victory may prove a pyrrhic one, however, with Kane, Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier all sustaining injuries.
