He revealed his desire to win more Ballon d’Or than his rival Lionel Messi who has already got six.

On a mission to acquire his six Ballon d’Or, the Portuguese star snubbed reenlisting his formal club Manchester United for Juventus after heartbreak from Real Madrid.

However the Italian giant, Juventus have not really paved the way for him after two seasons winning only domestic titles which is not enough to edge him pass Messi. 

Though Barcelona’s Messi didn’t win Champions League that season as well but he won La Liga title, Supercopa de España, and runner up in Copa del Rey which gave him better chance ahead Ronaldo.

Juventus got defeated by Ajax 2018/2019 season on (3-2 aggregate) and currently, they are facing another tough task from Lyon.

We already know winning the Champions League is a big chance of edging closer to the individual award. But can Juve deliver? Can they really compete with other top teams in Europe topflight?
