SERIOUS QUESTION!!! Does This Really Conserve Fuel Or We Are Just Deceiving Ourselves

As we all know in this country, an average Nigerian must own a generator. And one thing I have noticed which I still do till date is slightly opening the fuel passage half way with the believe that fuel will be conserved.

Honestly, I do this based on what I’ve heard and I see people doing it. Not like I have a basic understanding about it. Maybe Mechanical Engineers can have a better say about this.
