Oba Femi defeats Brock Lesnar in Hell in Cell SummerSlam
Throughout the contest, Lesnar unleashed a series of punishing attacks, including multiple German suplexes, a Tombstone onto exposed wooden boards beneath the ring, and repeated strikes using steel steps. However, Femi refused to stay down, responding with two powerful chokeslams to keep himself in the fight.
The decisive moment came when Lesnar reached for a steel chair. Femi quickly stopped him with a powerful right hand before hitting his trademark Fall From Grace finisher to seal the win.
After the match, Lesnar surprised fans by embracing Femi and publicly acknowledging him as WWE’s future. Speaking to the crowd, the former UFC and WWE champion described himself as the past while praising the Nigerian wrestler’s rise.
Femi later admitted he was caught off guard by Lesnar’s gesture of respect.
“The hug and public endorsement was definitely a shock, and I didn’t see that coming.
“I know that deep down, Brock has always respected me, and he knows that deep down, I respect him as well,” he said.
The SummerSlam triumph caps an outstanding year for Femi, who also defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 in April before capturing the 2026 King of the Ring crown in June.
